چکیده

Biochar is an interesting adsorbent material due to its use correlated with biomass waste utilization and also minimize environmental pollution from high amount of by-product. Regarding improve the biochar ability in water treatment, several surface modifications have been developed, one them modification using surfactant. In this study, sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (SDBS) was used modify prepared pyrolysis cassava peels (Manihot utilissima). Its performance remove methylene blue (MB) dyes compared dodecyl sulphate (SDS) surfactant for observing important – interactions mechanisms. The analysis biochar-SDBS were conducted by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), CHNS elemental analysis, scanning electron microscope (SEM). Furthermore, adsorption experiments UV-Vis spectrophotometer. It known that SDBS could increase capacity not only electrostatic interaction but through respect, as mass increased, improved produced more active cites on biochar. maximum MB onto occurred at 15 mg optimum pH value 10. Iron Impregnated Activated Carbon as an Efficient Adsorbent for the Removal of Methylene Blue: Regeneration and Kinetics Studies

In this study, iron impregnated activated carbon (FeAC) was synthesized following an oxidation and iron impregnation of activated carbon (AC). Both the AC and FeAC were characterized by pHZPC and FTIR spectroscopy. The removal of Methylene Blue (MB) by AC and FeAC was examined under various experimental conditions. The FeAC showed up to 95% (higher than AC) MB removal in the pH range of 7-10. A...
